This course aims to give early childhood educators a deeper understanding of the meaning and the complexities of culture. It will explore how to promote cultural diversity in the early childhood classroom and describe culturally responsive approaches to teaching. The course will also examine the stages of acculturation children and parents undergo upon arriving in a new country.
