ECE-PD 201
Multiple Intelligences in Early Childhood Education
This course aims to give early childhood educators an understanding of the theory of Howard Gardner’s Multiple Intelligences and its practical application for an early childhood educational setting. It defines and applies Gardner’s eight intelligences: visual-spatial, linguistic-verbal, logical-mathematical, body-kinesthetic, musical, interpersonal, intrapersonal, and naturalistic. Early childhood educators explore different activities for each category and are trained to create their own lessons using this theory within the context of holistic learning.
ECE-PD 202
Learning through Play in Centres
This course aims to give early childhood educators an understanding of the importance of play in young children's learning. It examines the theory behind the practice before exploring the use of centres for playful learning. Educators not only engage with the theory in the course but also learn to create different learning centres that support playful learning.
