Come join us for a morning of learning in the beautiful prairie city of Regina! We will be exploring topics on equity, diversity, and inclusion, international grassroots initiatives in social justice education, fair and unbiased assessment practices as well as culturally responsive pedagogy in K-12 and higher education classrooms. Walk away with a better understanding of the important role education plays in the promotion of social change!

For every presenter or attendee, we will donate a set of 10 storybooks to a child in need.
Keynote Speaker

Manu Sharma is an Associate Professor at Thompson Rivers University in the Faculty of Education and Social Work, where she teaches foundational courses in the Masters of Education program. For over a decade, Dr. Sharma has previously taught a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses and supported field placements at University of Wisconsin-River Falls, Brock University, University of Toronto, and University of Windsor; in addition, she worked for the Toronto District School Board and in international settings such as Japan, Tanzania, Antigua and Germany as a public educator. She brings a critical social justice lens to her teaching, research and service and is committed to empowering marginalized communities through capacity building.
Her research interests and publications in the field of education are based on equity initiatives, social justice pedagogy, deficit thinking, and international teaching experiences. For more information, please visit her website, https://professormanusharma.com
