Come join us for a morning of learning in the beautiful prairie city of Regina! We will be exploring topics on equity, diversity, and inclusion, international grassroots initiatives in social justice education, fair and unbiased assessment practices as well as culturally responsive pedagogy in K-12 and higher education classrooms. Walk away with a better understanding of the important role education plays in the promotion of social change!

For every presenter or attendee, we will donate a set of 10 storybooks to a child in need.
Keynote Speaker

Hilda Freimuth is a tenured Associate Teaching Professor in the English Language Learning and Teaching Department at Thompson Rivers University (TRU) in Canada. She holds a B.A. in German, a B.Ed. in primary education, an M.A. and M.Ed. in TESOL and a Ph.D. in Education. She has taught English in Germany, the UAE, and Canada for over twenty-five years. She has run three language learning centres – two in the UAE and one in Canada. She also managed a TESOL teacher training program in Vancouver for eight years. Hilda has published extensively in the past few years on research conducted in both the UAE and Canada and regularly travels the world to disseminate her findings and scholarly work. To date, she has made close to fifty presentations around the world, including in Tokyo, Berlin, Malta, Amsterdam, Ho Chi Minh City, and Dubai.
